Fellow student on my rotation getting a Christmas gift for the residents...in the first week of the rotation...a month before Christmas...nuff said.

Seriously, why is this even allowed?

I think the residents will see right through that.

Plus most people who try to suck up will end up overdoing it and annoy the person. I have seen it happen in my rotation group.

ROFL... that's what I love about my rotation schedule. I'm supposed to start on the 24th for my next rotation. However since most of the office staff are off that day (so no orientation, ID cards, etc), we're starting on Wednesday.

Lol.

The most I've ever seen anyone do is bake something for the team (or, in my case, bring in a bag of bagels on a call day).

What kind of tool gets their residents xmas presents?

Had my program coordinator return a gift via the rotator's home program coordinator. That was fun.

If I gave you a Lamborghini as a gift, 100 bucks you wouldn't return it back through your program director and the home program coordinator.

Its hard enough to get free pens and rep dinners these days. Don't take the last bastion of american freedom (hopefully someone will get the reference)! Leave us our needy medical students getting us christmas gifts!

Just kidding. People will see right through that.

And I'd return the Lamborgenie or however you spell it. I couldn't afford the insurance or the taxes. Though I might "return it" to a car dealership for some cash.
