hie everyone...finally m done wid nbdepart 1...yuhu..!!! n i got 90.. wanna ask if
anyone is interstd in discussing abt filling applications forms 4 applying to various unis..abt CAAPID abt dealines..dicusing abt loan procedure n going 4 interviews and accomodtion(wid gals)..IN SHORT EVERYTHNG .....vil b luking forward 4 d replies..as discusion makes d task much easier.. 🙂

im also planning to apply universities this year!!i got 90 in NBDE part1.im interested in discussing abt admissions and applications.
 
sure...CAAPID APPLICATION FORMS ARE STARTING FROM 14 APRIL...waiting for the time..so dat itz clear vich unis r coverd under dat..
 
Till now these are the schools on the list of CAAPID, many more might be adding up!
I plan to apply for USC, UCSF, BU, UPENN, UOP AND NSU(maybe).

ya its for perm residents or citizens but it doesnt mean no indians more than half of my class os indian at UIC
 
ya one of my frnds wants to apply at u of colorado but has 80 in part 1 exam. so she isnt sure wat to do. her other stats are similar to mine but just that she scored less on part 1.
gpa 3.9
toefl 112
and she is doin her masters in public health rite now.. and excellent gpa of 4.0
one year exp in home country!
So I asked her to apply but she isnt sure!
 
Hi everyone, glad to hear from all of you!! One more step for me and I can apply this year. I have to take toefl😱 I'm SUPER EXCITED..Anyway, I called UOP yesterday and they said THAT they are about to update there website SOON regarding IDP... And guess what?!!!! This is applicable for next years applicants. They're going to lower the scores for part 1. Instead of 80 and above, they will bring it down to 75... I don't know what to say.Maybe this is a good sign for those who are about to give up..There is hope!!! 👍
 
SO application process of jss colorado uni is going...is dre any odr uni vich has startd itz aplication process..?

yeah uic only takes permanent resi (gc) / citizens/ refugee status. its written very clearly on their website..here is the link if u want to chk.

Also...some questions from their faq

Q: Can I apply to the program if I am currently in the United States on a visa?
No. In order to be eligible to apply for admission, applicants must possess documentation of one of the following residency statuses at the time of application: United States citizenship, permanent residency, or asylee.
Applicants on a visa will NOT be considered for this program. There are no exceptions.
Q: Can I apply to the program if I am in the process of becoming a Permanent Resident?
You will not be considered for an interview until your Permanent Residency status has been finalized. Applicants in the process of obtaining Permanent Residency will not be considered.

Someone said UIC is not going to go through CAAPID, but I checked, they accepting 30 candidates through CAAPID>... not sure about which one is right.
 
no UIC is not through caapid...chk the adea website for yourself. the schools which are through caapid are marked and uic is not one of those...for better infoo please chk the website.

and this is the list of schools...the ones that have their application through caapid they have a blue note underneath...please correct me if i m wrong..may be for the 2012 cycle uic goes through caapid...but as far as it looks till now i dont think for this year ( i mean 2011 application) UIC is participating . updates welcome!
 
What is the procedure for CAAPID? Do we need to send them: sealed letters of recommendations, sealed official ECE report and notarized copy of dental school transcript?
(What is letter of evaluation? Is it same as recommendation letter?)
Then when we apply to individual school, we send sealed TOEFL and National board part 1 score report directly to school? DO we still need to send sealed ECE Evaluation and rec letters to individual schools?
Can someone please clarify all the above q's?

CAAPID is a cental org vich forwards ur aplication to d unis vich r under it..
i caled caapid guys..dey said dey accept unofficial copy too..itz betr u clarify if u want...besides unis ask for direct copies of nbde scores,toefl n ece
