As someone who has long been interested in global health, health disparities, and access-to-care, I wanted to start this thread for any med students or residents interested in global health and neurology. In the neurology dept at my medical school, no one had really heard of this combination, and I was almost (but not quite!!) convinced to go into medicine or med/peds instead. Little did I know that there are many neurology residencies looking to build programs in global health -- and with the recent Lancet publications regarding the global burden of disease, it is fast becoming a global priority.
I hope people can use this thread to post about anything related to global health and neurology, including residency program options, journal articles, and news.
Feel free to PM me with any specific questions too!
