Has anyone gotten the Global Health AQD?

I am confused, asides from the USU online course that is not taking any students at this time, is there any other course that can fulfill for the AQD requirements. If anyone knows or has successfully obtained this AQD, would appreciate the gouge! Thank you.

Navy Global Health Specialist Program - The requirements are so obfuscated.

Have you done any of that kind of work before? The reality isn't very much like the posters.

It takes a certain kind of person to thrive in the world of GHE ... I actually don't think there's a lot of room for doctors. Clinical work is a tiny fraction of what's done on the ground, and is of minor importance compared to rest of it.

I was being facetious with the Geneva position. Cannot say I have done any GHE work, still curious regarding it. Still feel like the way to get this AQD is not 100% clear.

I figured you were joking. :)

I don't know anything about the AQD. The whole concept of GHE is interesting, and arguably something that the US government, US-based NGOs, and the US military should be doing a lot of, for both moral and geopolitical reasons.

I think Colin Chinn drove the creation of that AQD. Google his name and global health and you can see a bunch of stuff from 2013-2015 when he was at PACOM. He’s a good guy and I doubt he’d mind if someone reached out. He’s on LinkedIn.

Rear Admiral Chinn!? I am pretty sure he's very nice, and I am pretty sure he would respond, but I think I will ask some other folks, b4 I go that high up!

Does anyone know how the Navy Global Health Specialists Program differs from the Air Force International Health Specialists Program?

Remember the good old days of military medicine, when all we did was treat STDs for the guys that nuked our enemies?

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

It appears the 68M AQD edu/training requirement could be satisfied by the 3 day USUHS short course ( Uniformed Services University ), which is offered in multiple locations. The experience piece also appears to be satisfied by any deployment remotely related to "planning and/or execution" of an exercise/mission "in support of global health activities". Basically it calls for an operational tour with some kind of 3 month deployment, where we touched a local national and offered a cigarette or candy. I will try to request this AQD after my PCS. Geneva sounds nice, but I'm shooting for that spot in New Zealand (not listed on the BUMEDINST).
