I am looking to buy a good face mask and gloves for anatomy lab. Are there any specific gloves/masks you all recommend? Do people commonly wear face masks to reduce the stench?

Gloves are usually provided. And there is no "stench" if the lab has decent ventilation, even so it's just the faint chemical smell of preservative.
double glove? lotion? mask? are you guys kidding?
just put on a pair of gloves, sack up and get to work. the cadaver is practically sterile... that's more than can be said for what you'll be touching later without going through a double gloving/lotion/masking ritual.
also gloves aren't provided at some (most?) schools

I always double gloved- you can easily tear through one and then you'd be in direct contact with formaldehyde.. at least with two pairs you can catch when you've torn through the outer pair and slip on a new outer glove
You mean breathing it directly into your bloodstream is kosher, but having it touch your precious skin is not? DERMATOLOGY!![]()
This! 👍 Definitely double glove. Does wonders to reduce the smell.double glove, but the best solution is to get a bottle of lotion, and put it on your hand thoroughly and miraculously it will not smell after lab when you take ur glove off!

One of our professors always went glove-free...30+ years of that and I can imagine the smell just doesn't ever come off.
