going back to ontario as a DO...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you havent started residency in the US you can take the MCCEE and apply in Ontario. If youve started training then you need to finish your residency and then apply to write the appropriate specialty exam.

You don't have to write the MCCQE if you've done COMLEX.

"The Comprehensive Osteopathic Licensing Examination or COMLEX from 2004 onward is considered equivalent to the MCCQE parts 1 and 2."

http://www.cpso.on.ca/Info_physicians/regpol/examequiv.htm

you can only match in family practice in ontario first round and yes you will have to do the MCCQE. For residency the COMLEX is not accepted.

If you do residency in the US. NOTE ACGME RESIDENCY NOT AOA one than you can get exempt from MCCQE. Otherwise your residency and exams are no good in Ontario.

DO applicant here... so let's say, hypothetically, one does an osteopathic residency, then there's no hope of returning to practice in Ontario?
