Good or bad?

Also, should I start listening to them on my mp3 player to get them into my head?

Opinions please. I'm especially curious as to what Big Frank would say!

They are a bit basic and too slow for my liking but may be useful for concepts you are having a tough time grasping or your prof. didn't do a good job explaining. Just my opinion.

Gold Standard should definately NOT be your main source. I borrowed them from a friend when I was driving. Even still, I could only do about an hour of it before I was ready to drive off the road. I tried listening to them when I worked out, but you still have to concentrate on what you're listening too, so I didn't get much out of it then. I found the micro helpful for the repetition and I liked the CNS path (I only listened to about 10-15 cds, so I really can't evaluate the whole series). I think there are better sources that will make more efficient use of your time, but it can be a good supplement (especially if you drive a lot). I hope you didn't spend too much money on it.

I have gold standard and I have Webprep. I dont like gold standard but I use webprep when i do cardio, and i like it alot.

Compared to Gold standard, where the dude asks u a questions and then gives u 2 seconds to think about it before u get the answer over and over (boring, hard to listen to during cardio) in Webprep the guy actaully lectures and makes jokes and stuff and gives USMLE clinical cases that are interesting to listen to so

1) cardio goes by fast
2) the stuff sticks pretty well.

hope it helps

I used Gold Standard and liked it. However, I only suggest using the CD's:
1. If you have a long commute every day to/from school
2. Those times when you just CANNOT read another page!

I wouldn't use them as your primary source, or as a replacement for reading First Aid, High Yield, etc.

Hope that helps!
