okay, with all this talk about the side notes in Goljan's RR path I was thinking it would be really nice to have all of the side notes typed up in one place. Before I reinvent the wheel and type everything up myself, has anybody done that already and would be willing to share?

Good idea, but if you have the book, it might just be a good idea to look at it in there. You can see pictures and read about something if you don't understand it. Just a thought

I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea, but what is wrong with the side notes as they already are in the book? And then you can look at the pictures along with the notes. If you just want the side notes in a document, you might be better off just downloading his lecture notes since it would save a lot of time and is supposedly relatively similar.

Flipping through 650+ pages just takes way longer than reading them all together. This would obviously be something you do after looking at them in the book first, just to remind you about all the facts right before the exam.

I have his lecture notes but thought the side notes would be a nice additional source from what I have seen they are not that similar.

Might as well just read his high yield 100pgs or 36pgs. I heard his side notes are stuff he mentions in his audio as high yield but will see for myself.

The RR pretty much follows the audio lectures. have the 100 and 36 pg documents and i think they are what he stresses in the lectures. The side notes and boxes have been very good even for my school path exams. taking step 1 in like june so not sure how they are for that

Hey do you guys think that Goljian is better than the BRS path?
Neither one is better than the other, it's rather personal. I have seen people who swear by either book who only used one or the other that got very high scores. I think both have sufficient material, it's just based on the style of the book.

Personally, I like Rapid Review, because it's got a lot of meat and a bit more explanation to it. BRS Path is a bit more list-like, but also very good if you want a concise review of pathology with pertinent information.
