Good Trauma Elective? West Preferred

Does anyone know of a good trauma elective on the West Coast?

By 'good' I mean busy but not worked into the ground with no time to read or learn. I had a bad surgery core clerkship, so I'll really be learning it all now.

Any opinions on UC Davis, OSU, UCLA, UCSF-Fresno, UC San Diego?

I'm matching in emergency, not surgery.

I'm from Fresno area, rotated at UCSF-Fresno (although in the Burn Unit) and would be happy to comment on it if you have specific questions.

The University Med Center there (formerly Valley Med Center) gets all the gang banger detritus - surely not as much as LA County Gen but the staff there (namely Steve Parks) are very well respected trauma surgeons and while tough guys are committed to education.
