I just finished up my senior year at my university. I've always been a fan of organic so I decided to take Advanced Organic Chemistry for fun as an elective during my final semester (please don't judge me). Needless to say the class was insanely difficult and I finished the class with a C. I was wondering how dental schools would react to a C on my transcript for this class?

One C isn't going to kill your chances if the rest of your applications are solid. Don't freak out too much.

Wise Persian cat thinks you will be okay.

So what happens to the students who have no C's, but no A's in their science courses? So basically just riddled with B's?

got two C's my last semester, as well as about 3 or 4 C's between my 4th and 5th semester, and had a lower GPA ~3.3. Wasnt ever directly asked on either of my interviews. One interview started reading off my stats and asked to explain them myself, which i commented about my low gpa and how i knew i needed to show i could handle the DAT, and had a solid upward trend.

It looks bad, its a c. damage is lessened a Lil bit bc its an upper level course. As long as its the only c on your record u should be fine.

Its one c its not "game over" completely lol
