I have a really great o-chem instructor. He gives extra credit, and is very willing to help with anything we don't understand. After hearing so many horror stories about o, I'm happy to be having a good experience (so far, anyway).

Me too! My O-chem prof is great! Scarey thing is I am starting to "like" chemistry!

I remember in college, whenever my O-Chem professor made a mistake when writing on the chalk board, he'd hit his head against the board to tell us that O-Chem is suppose to hurt!!! Once, in a one hour lecture, he banged his head against the board 3 times and said he was getting dizzy! I still remember chalk dust flying all around his head!

Funny you should mention that. I helped snag a pharmacist from Walgreens a couple of weeks ago. Something about having well-trained technicians there to help the pharmacy run smoothly...

My O-Chem II prof was awesome, but he was older and from Poland, so sometimes it was tough to understand him. His solution to this was to wear a wireless mic so that our entire class (not too large - only about 60 of us) could hear him. He would generally show up right before class, get mic'ed up, then start the lecture.

One day he showed up early to class and hooked his mic up as normal. A student had a question for him and he went out into the hallway to answer it (still mic'ed up). Those of us already in class got to hear the question/answer session (which was actually informative). Afterwards, he must have run into some of the other faculty members because he stayed in the hallway shooting the $h!t for a bit. We got to hear this conversation as well.

Finally he realized that class was supposed to start and he ran back in. He reached down to the podium to hook up his mic but then he noticed that he was already hooked up. He looked up at the class and said "You're lucky that class was about to start - I was on my way to the bathroom!"

I just got an awesome interview suit for a GREAT DEAL! I saw a rack at Robinsons-May that said "Suits $99.99". These suits were excellent in quality and I wondered why they were so inexpensive (it also came with a silk scarf). I tried it on and it fit perfectly! Too good to be true right? Yep! When it rang up it was $300 🙁 . I showed the sales lady where I found it and she said "Oops I forgot to change the sign today, these suits are brand new and just were put out on the floor today!" I guess she could see the disapointment in me and replied..."I will honor the displayed sign price though." Yippie! I couldn't believe it. On top of that she gave me an additional 10% off! 🙂 🙂

I am set now for my interview suit and just need a new purse, as my big black suitcase I tote around will just not do ..... any suggestions?

Congrats on the great buy! When I've needed a purse or another accessory that I don't plan on using a lot, I go to Ross or TJ Maxx - they usually have good prices and a big selection (on purses at least).

On another note, you're going to rock this interview 🙂
