hey all, i got my pda for christmas, and i am loving it. went with the tungsten e, and it is sweet...

anyhow, is there anyway to share those expensive programs, like 5min clinical consult, or whatever? if anyone can help me out, i would love it!

and any information on where to share pda software would be great...

thanks!

I also joined the 21st century and finally got my pda for Christmas too. I have a Tungsten T3, and I love it.

I did a search for "free medical pda software" and found some sites with some cool stuff. Epocrates is one thing that is free that you should definitely get. There is also a free Johns Hopkins antibiotic guide that I downloaded that is pretty good, along with a few other little programs.

I'm also wondering if there is a way to share the expensive programs. I really want 5 minute clinical consult, but don't want to pay the $60 or whatever it costs.

Hi there,

The best thing that I put on my PDA was Drug Wars. It gave me something to do on Internal Medicine rounds.

njbmd😀

Don't wanna rain on your parade here, but I'd be careful posting free PDA software links, especially if the stuff is illegal. A fourth year at our school was found out by our school for posting stuff like that and his future is essentially ruined. His dean's letter was written down, etc. Anyway, just wanted to give you guys a heads up... I'm not a square.

Career ruined over PDA software. Puhlease...
Calm down my friend.Lol.....

Now listening to mp3s on my new palm pilot. 😍

will do.

Still looking to pick up Clical Consult 2004, and flirting with the idea of Harrisons and a dictionary.

I use the crap out of my pocket harrisons but it is so damn expensive....

For a dictionary (and if you have the room) I would highly suggest the full version of Stedman's from Skyscape... certainly more complete than any of the others (Taber's would probably be my 2nd choice).

If you have liked Harrison's, I would either suggest the new Skyscape version or the Unbound Medicine version of Harrision's... although I really do like Outlines in Clinical Medicine from Skyscape as a detailed reference.

If you are interested, I have compiled most of the freeware available for the Palm OS on my site:

Though I have little Pocket PC software, I do have links to some other sites where you may find some freeware.

😀
