So I've finished high school through a community college racking up about 30 credits and a 3.7 GPA. None of the classes were science or math (unless greenhouse or poly sci classes are counted) because I had to focus on my graduation requirements. Will these credits that I completed before graduating high school transfer? If so, will that 3.7 help or hurt my undergrad culminating GPA in the long run?

From the sounds of it the classes will probably not count towards your BCPM GPA but will be calculated into your overall/and non-science GPA. But a 3.7 is nothing to worry about!

It'll count towards your overall GPA. Of course that 3.7 will help you.

Any class you took at a CC or Uni will be factored into the GPA for AMCAS. So you don't have an option in the matter anyway.

1) Will these credits that I completed before graduating high school transfer?

2) If so, will that 3.7 help or hurt my undergrad culminating GPA in the long run?
1) They may not all be accepted in transfer by whatever university you attend, but they will all be incorporated into your application GPA by med school application services, if you decide to apply.

2) Since a 3.7 is slightly above the average GPA of those accepted to med schools, it is likely to be helpful in the long run, when it comes time to apply to med schools. Many students get a GPA dip when they first attempt university-level coursework, due to a faster pace and greater depth of material, until they adjust their learning style to the new environment.

What would you like to study? All schools have different criteria for admissions. Is your 3.7 a high school GPA or a college GPA?

It's the GPA for both my senior year of high school and the starting point my undergrad culminating GPA.
