Quick question- For my undergrad, I was a transfer student from a CC. At the end of my bachelors, I ended up with a university GPA of 3.9, but a cumulative of 3.6. Still have to take all my pre reqs, but with the two science courses I have taken- it is currently a 4.0.

My question is if my university GPA will count toward anything, or just my cumulative and science?

All courses taken ever will be directed towards the cGPA and sGPA. Your AMCAS GPA will not be the same as your Uni GPA as it includes your CC credits and others as well.

All of the courses you are taking after your graduation will be in the Post-Bacc column but still counted in your Ugrad GPA.

Thank you! I recently made the decision to go for med school, so I am still learning a lot about the process.

Is there any way to tell if I am in a good position so far?

Compute your sGPA, AO in accordance with AMCAS guidelines as set forth in the following (page 3):

Texas state medical schools have their own set of guidelines for computing GPAs where minuses and pluses are lopped off grades before they are averaged.

Then purchase an online subscription to something called the MSAR which gives detailed breakdowns of each medical school's MCAT and GPA score ranges. You purchase the MSAR online from AMCAS.
