Ok, so I'm in a pretty awkward dilemma right now. I just finished up my junior year of college, and I haven't gotten my grades back for this past semester. I've done really well in all of my pre-medical classes (all A's with no grade less than 93) until this semester in physics. I failed two exams, got 100 on the third one, and I think I probably got a either a B or a C on the final. My professor has this policy where if we make a score higher on the section of the final that corresponds to a certain unit, he'll average the two scores together and replace the lower test grade with the average. The problem is that I'm pretty sure my final grade wasn't enough to have me make an A (or an A-) in the class. I'm terrified that I might end up with a B- (2.75 at my school) or lower in that one course, which will really mess up my current 4.0 science GPA. I have a 3.9 overall GPA, but now I'm afraid that it's going to drop because of this one course. I've also taken Orgo II this semester (with a 100 average before the final, so I'm not worried about that one) and Medical Biochemistry (which I'm also pretty sure that I got an A in b/c I had a 95 going into the final. I'm in the process of applying to medical schools right now, so this one grade is literally a maker or breaker for me. How would it look to admissions people if I got a grade lower than my usual A during my LAST pre-med semester?
