I'm applying to medical schools right now and have fortunately been accepted to my dream school. So i was wondering, after you are accepted to a medical school that you are sure you'll attend, does your GPA still matter? As long as you don't do really badly in classes the last semester, will you ever need to report your final college GPA (such as when applying to residencies)? Thanks for your thoughts!

GPA from undergrad is (to my knowledge) not used once you get into medical school just like your MCAT score has no relevance any longer. However, your acceptance letter should have the stipulations for your entrance. For example many say that you must have an official transcipt sent to the school and also say maintain academic status.

Congrats on the acceptance and now you take it easy (sort of).
