Here is my question: How much of an emphasis is put on the PCAT and how much ?

I ask because I did not do so well on my PCAT (73rd percentile) but have what i beleive to be a good GPA (3.6/4).

specifically i want to know if i should retake the PCAT in January (even though the school i really want to go to MWU CCP supposedly has it's PCAT deadline set as "prior to January 1").

Are my combined GPA and PCAT grades sufficient for me to get into MWU CCP?? I can also say that I am part of the honors college, bla bla bla..etc.....

please help me solve this dilemma!!!!!

-thanks for helping guys, much appreciated

If the school says it won't take the Jan PCAT, then they won't take the Jan PCAT. If I were you, I would just wait and find out if you were accepted this year or not and depending on that result, take the PCAT or not. The way I see it, that's your only option.

am i even competitive enough with these stats?

i believe you are competitive. but pcat could be little higher. if you have good EC, and recommendation, i think you have a good shot. how did your interview go?

GPA is more important than PCAT. My friend got 3.8 out of 4. His PCAT was only 70. He applied for 5 schools. 4 schools accepted him out of 5. GPA is very important. If your GPA is 3.6, your PCAT needs to be around 75-80%. Are you attending at Community college or unversity?? If you are attending at com college, they expect your GPA needs to be higher. Good luck!!! 🙂
