GPA Rounding question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I had a 3.596 in undergrad. Is it unethical to list my GPA as 3.60 - I have been listing it as 3.59, but wasn't sure?

If you're looking at it from a purely mathematical standpoint, then it was incorrect to round it to 3.59.
Regardless (and others may disagree) here, even if you had something like a 3.594 and rounded up to 3.60, I doubt anybody will care, let alone notice in the first place. It's not going to make a difference in how your application will be viewed.

I have one school that asks for a major GPA and I was a double major. Is there some general method for this, say taking both major GPAs and then averaging them or finding an average for both (I don't even know if the online application will allow for that to be entered). I had several overlapping courses, so I just don't want to misrepresent myself.

I would just take all the classes that are counted towards your major and calculate the GPA from that. It's a little more work, but I think that's the most accurate.

Can you access an unofficial copy of your transcript? It may have your Major GPA calculated for you.
