GPA transfer up or down!!!!!!!!

So my GPA at the moment is a 2.95 at a CC. It includes some classes that won't go towards my pre-pharmacy reqs. When i get out the CC, will the varsity consider my whole transcrpt or will they only take my pre-reqs fr pharmacy since i only plan on transferring only 64 credits to the Univeristy????. Hopefully when i trnsfer i'll be able to handle the Organic 1/2 and Physics 🙂

I'm guessing MCCD since you're in AZ?

I believe the 4 years only consider the classes they are transferring (not your cumulative GPA). Also, if you're getting an associate degree, same thing. You may want to check with your 4 year of choice to confirm.

PharmCAS will consider all of your classes - even the non-prereq ones. MWU - CPG uses PharmCAS; U of A will only accept a B or better in O Chem & A&P and requires at least 3.0 sGPA. You may also want to look at your pharma schools of choice to see what their policies are.

Have you checked out u select (www.transfer.org)? They have transfer guides from MCCD to the Arizona Unis.

PS, Before anyone bombs this guy - if it is MCCD or Yuma, the CC classes are designed to be of the same caliber as the Uni classes. It's not the same as in some places where CC is essentially an extension of high school.

When I applied to pharmacy school, the school looked at my cumulative GPA, the GPA they calculated based on a certain series of classes, and the PharmCAS GPA. It included all college coursework I took (including college courses I took in high school, and courses from both universities I attended). You must report all college courses. You typically will have to request transcripts from all schools that you attend (i.e. if you have classes that transferred to another school, they still want the transcript from the original school you took classes at).

You should contact the pharmacy schools you are applying to if you have questions.

Ah, my s/o went to AWC for a couple years. 👍 From what I understand, it's the same as MCCD, they've got a partnership with the 4 years (or at least NAU).

It depends on the school. The lady I talked to at UGA said they only consider the preq-requesites
