I've mostly seen cut-offs right around 3.0, so that shouldn't be an issue. I think the real question is where are you applying and what the average numbers are for those schools (i.e., don't waste your time applying to Harvard, Yale, etc.).
Oh, and I wouldn't say you're "okay," since you are below the average GPA for medical school matriculants (3.61, I think). Also, keep in mind the many other components of a competitive application. Good luck.
