Gpr ?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Go to http://www.adea.org/PASS/default.htm and choose participating postdoctoral programs. It's the third link from the bottom. From there you can choose the list of GPRs, AEGDs etc.
Since I answered your question, maybe you can help with mine.

Having never aspired to be a specialist, I didn't payed much attention to grades. After reading the requirements for these programs, it looks like I locked myself out of GPR and AEGD. Unless I read the requirements wrong, students have to be in the top 10 % of their class and get a 90 on the boards. Is this correct?

I think I'm missing something, because I know I've read FAQs on weg pages pages for GPRs or AEGD programs that recommend applicants only need be for instance in the top 50 %.

As a general dentist to be who is planning on performing some endo or ortho, would continuing education classes fill my need equally well?

sammas,

That is only a requirement for SOME programs. On that website they have a list of requirements (notice they are numbered), then beside each program it says what number is applicable to that program. Not all of those "requirements" are applicable to each program.

Thanks, Gavin. I knew something didn't make sense. I guess it pays to read the rest of the document!

I just wanted to see a list of states and their number of gpr positions so i can start thinking about where I want to head next 🙂 I love being in different places 🙂
