I go to a school that gives letter grades (A,A-,B+,B, etc) for the third year instead of H/HP/P/F. How do I convert between them? are all A grades honors and all B grades HP, etc?

A = H
B = HP
C = P
F = F

You can't convert +/-

I'm not sure you can have a blanket statement where A=H, especially in a plus/minus system. Your individual clerkship departments will determine what is honors. For example, a raw 92% ("A-") may be honors in some schools/clerkships or high pass in others. Your MSPE will have all that info.

There isn't a strict grade conversion system. For those schools that actually look at pre-clinical grades with any kind of rigor, they'll see what appears on your transcript. So an A is an A, an A- is an A-, and a P is a P.

Please tell us more First year medical student.

These are for clinical, not preclinical grades. And I dont know how closely residencies look at the MSPE. Its very long. Also according to the residency program directors survey, its not that important.

Yup. You can acquire 15 interview invites before the MSPE is even released, depending on which field you're applying to.
