I just finished my freshman year with grades that are less than desirable. This semester I ended up with 4 As a B and an F in calculus. I don't know what to do. I am planning to retake calculus with grade forgiveness but I know medical schools still see the original F. Do I still have a chance of getting in?

Keep your GPA up and don't get any more F's and you will have a chance at getting in. A single F doesn't even end the chance of MD schools, let alone DO schools which will only look at the A you will get when you re-take.

Figure out what you did wrong, fix it, and get A's from now on. Next time you get in trouble with a class, fix what is going wrong as soon as possible, or if that isn't possible, withdraw and take the W instead of the F. :luck:

Thanks so much! I was really freaking out. I will for sure keep my grades up.
