So when AACOMAS replaces grade of a retaken course, does the course number need to be exact? How exactly does that work? I would think that if one tried to retake organic chem at CC, the second grade wouldn't be used. That's not what I'm doing, however I have transferred And am retaking a couple of courses that have different numbers and am wondering how thats going to turn out.

It has to be the same course (IE OChem I) and the same or more hours.

When you enter your transcripts in your application you define which classes 'pair' for retakes. They will confirm during verification but as long as they meet the two requirements in my 1st sentence you should be fine.
