I'm having similar issues/questions and talked to AACOMAS. You can prob replace the first two with the animal physiology course. It'll look like a three time retake. And if it makes you feel any better, took me three times to get a decent grade in General Chemistry I and Physics I.

Even though you may be able to get it calculated with repeats, ADCOM still sees that it took you 4 tries to get an A in physiology. Not sure if that would be a red flag or not..

I guess i'll let Goro or another adcom comment. To me, it would definitely be something to bring up, since that is 4 tries at a class.. especially one that is mostly factual based.

My undergrad was terrible and I took most of my science courses at least 4 times. I was never asked about it My grades were replaced. I took a break between undergrad and my post bacc year (3 yr gap) and got A"s in most courses with a few B's. Upper division classes wont negate prior bad marks in lower division coursework as another post implies.

Yes. Retake anything less than a B in pre-requisite science courses.

Hi everybody, wasn't sure whether or not to start a new thread or reply to an existing one. Since this thread's title is comparable to my questions, figured I'd just piggy-back on this thread 😳

1. Does grade replacement factor into both cumulative and science/non-science GPA? Or is the replaced grade only in the science/non-science GPA, and the cumulative GPA includes all attempts?

2. I took algebra based physics 1 with lab, and later took calculus based physics 1 with lab, all at the same university, with all having separate courses for the lecture portion and lab portion rather than being combined, and having the same number of credit hours for each instance. Would the calculus based physics lecture course and lab replace the algebra based?

1. Grade replacement affects all grades calculated.

2. Yes it would, as long as they are both Physics 1 with equal credits.
