i'm accepted, but i still have to take my physics II requirement (which i am taking currently). my question is, do schools really care what grade i make in the class as long as i pass? as you all can imagine, it's tough to find the motivation to study. i mean will schools care if i pass with a C? i just DO NOT CARE about this class now, but i don't want to jeopardize an acceptance. thanks for the input-

I would say that physics is a bit more important than say your psychology class because it is part of the admission requirements at the d-school. So you may need to continue getting the grades in that class that are in-line with the grades you rec'd on the other pre-reqs.

As for your psychology (and anything else for that matter) type classes, I would say that C's probably wouldn't keep you out of schol, but why chance it..

You've worked so hard to get where you are right now so I would suck it up and finish out the semester strong. I mean you don't want to get yourself used to being lazy and slacking off especially the semester before you start dental school. Just my 2 cents

I know Pacific expects at least a B in all classes before matriculation. Any thing less requires approval from the admissions office.

In Physics, I'm sure a C would be fine. In fact, you could call your school and ask if you even have to take it anymore, and there's a great chance that they'll say no. Several of my schools said I didn't have to take it after receiving acceptances from them. I'm referring to Physics 2. I'd already taken Physics 1 prior to acceptances.

wow, i had no idea they schools would do that.what's the best way to ask this? i don't want to come off sounding like i'm better than other applicants and shouldn't have to take it. thanks

Second the motion! I'm registered to take physics II spring semester, and I can take it, but it conflicts with some classes I'd rather take if I had my druthers... I really didn't know that you could do that! Well, I guess it's not something they especially want to advertise 😀

Gavin,
How come Arizona doesn't do the same? I couldn't fit both O chem Labs into my schedule and while other schools will waive it, Arizona won't waive anything. Any insight?
