OK, can we stop picking on the OP and give a fair answer?
Onstar: in reality, a 3.3 GPA is alright, not outstanding, depending on your undergraduate institution and how challenging the classes you took were. You want to shoot for at the very very least a 24 or 25 MCAT, and if you want to be a fairly competative applicant, I recommend shooting for at least a 29 or 30. Above a 30, you will be an attractive applicant and it will help compensate for a mediocre GPA.
As for the "2 on the VR" joke made above, it is actually important to brush up on your spelling, grammar, and reading comprehension... remember that 2/4 sections on the MCAT are Verbal Reasoning and writing essays that must be effective, succinct, and reasonably free of spelling and grammatical errors.
As for research: it's okay not to plan on doing research if it doesn't float your boat
🙂. There are plenty of good physicians out there who are not researchers, and DO schools generally have far less emphasis on research than MD schools. So that's not a problem.
Good luck!
