Which gas goes on top in the formula ? the lighter one right ?

I guess it depends on where you're putting what.

the law is:

Rate1/Rate2 = sqrt (MW2/MW1)

Lighter gas = rate1 or MW1
heavier = rate2 or MW2

Assuming if there was a question like this on the DAT, when applying Graham's law between 2 gases of obvious different weights, just go straight to Sqr.root (Heavy/Light).

After practicing a while now, there are just questions per section that you plug and chug and move on. This is one of them.

Yep, these things are one of those that you would solve quickly. 👍
