So, what's the point here? Is there some claim of equivalency between what is found at this link and what anesthesiology in the US has become? Because I'm going to guess that ophthalmologists have not been complicit in this state of affairs as their anesthesiologist counterparts.

Yes, our profession has emboldened CRNAs more than probably any other profession has their mid-levels... But, this fight will be joined by MOST medical specialties as their own mid-levels push for great scope of practice.... This is a major silver lining in that a more unified, concerted effort by state medical societies can work together with broad language supporting physician leadership. This is already happening, and it's a good thing. Will it succeed? Probably in some ways and others not. It's the cost of doing business in American medicine today. Get used to it.
