just took the GRE, didn't do as well as I hoped. Was wondering what you though in terms of getting into a D.PT program

Composite: 1110
Q. 680 V. 430😱

should have done better at verbal, but it was definitely harder than expected. I'm planning on taking it again in a few months, but I was wondering if the GREs were that weigned into admissions decision. I currently have an overall GPA of 3.2, major GPA 3.46, and last 60 GPA of 3.63. I also have 300+ hours of clinical experience and am planning to apply to schools around southern california (USC, Chapman, CSUN, CSULB). Should I be worried about my scores?

can anyone offer any insight or help?😕

Some schools I looked at required at least a score of 500 on each section and a minimum of 1000 composite score. Even though your verbal is a little low, I think you have a decent chance at getting in with that composite score, but this is obviously my opinion. It basically depends on the college/university you are applying to.

Like ptapp said, some schools have a cutoff of 500 for each section. That being said, I think that you could definitely pull that off if you take the GRE again. You know what to expect now, and you have time to study. I've heard people say that some of the study books are a big help with the vocab, and taking a few practice tests wouldn't hurt either.
Good luck!

I think that your scores are great, eventhough that your verbal score is lower than 500, you still could get accepted. Because most schools require around the rang of 500 in each but that does not mean that they will not accept lower.

thanks for all the replies👍👍! i really appreciate it. now i feel a little less stressed out about the whole application process
