Can I write my greatest accomplishment as nursing a few dirty, abandoned kittens back to health (in spite of mother's disapproval), paying for their vaccinations, and finding them new homes? Or should I think of something else?

I will start by saying this is just my opinion. This is definitely a nice accomplishment to be proud of and shows that you are a good person, but for a medical school application I think you can write about something better/more relevant. Did you receive any impressive academic award that you worked really hard for? Were you disadvantaged in some way but still were able to succeed? Any stories working with actual people (clinical or else)? I truly don't think what you mentioned is your greatest accomplishment, just dig deeper. Good luck!

I would prefer to write about something else/deeper, but those that could potentially fit the bill, I have already used in other essays. Yes, I was disadvantaged in some ways and overcoming it was a massive accomplishment for me, but I thought it particularly suited the adversity/challenge prompts better than accomplishment. And I didn't think it was a good idea or appropriate for me to discuss it twice for schools that ask for both a challenge/adversity essay And an accomplishment one. I did have some stories of working with actual people but I used them in my activities section and my personal statement to already expanded on why they were important to me. So, I'm currently trying hard to think of something else...
