GRU reference question.

Hey everyone!

I am a new member on SDN and an applicant for the 2014 class at Georgia Regents University.

My question is in regards to GRU's reference requirements.I noticed that GRU would like me to have three references from health care professionals. PTCAS only allows me to have four references, and I already have those filled. Two are from Physical Therapists and the others are from my former team leader in the Marines, and a county commissioner who was a patient at my internship site. I am able to bring in a physical copy of another reference from an additional Physical Therapist if I receive an interview invitation. I was hoping to not have to delete any of the four on PTCAS. Should I delete one of the non-health care professional references on PTCAS? (And if so which one would you suggest?) Or would my original four be wise to send? Thanks!

You should probably be asking GRU admissions, they will better tell you how strict they are on their reference policy.

I applied to GRU last year and they emailed me a hard copy of the reference form because I had already submitted my PTCAS app. They just told me to get another PT to fill it out and then have the PT seal and send in the hard copy. I called 1-2 weeks later and they had received it and said my application was complete.

I emailed the admissions office first but have yet to hear back from them. From what you are saying, it sounds like they will work with me on this. Thanks for the reply!
