I finished taking GS 1 and my score was really bizarre (high on verbal but lower on sciences by 2 pts).

I've read many good things about GS and im really trying to see if its worth purchasing because I know that TBR seems to have good practice passages.

Any opinions would be wonderful!

(This is I guess an addition to my original GS question).

The practice test is GS 1 but I personally felt it was a weird test with lots of discrete questions. Not like aamc but I would like to know if the paid test are better,

I took it too!

So yes it seems like your PS/BS scores will be lower than AAMC( mine was exactly 2 points lower than my average). I didn't bother with verbal because I heard it was not that great. Anyway, the test is REALLY tricky.. I think it's mostly testing content knowledge rather than the AAMC "critical thinking" method if that makes sense? Idk from PS I got the sense that it was a bit calculation heavy (which I liked) but then some questions were just "ahaha I want you to miss this". BS was a lot of again trick answers which I thought was Ok but I mainly wanted some research type heavy BS questions to prepare for the real deal which it didn't provide for me.

OVER ALL I think take your score with a grain of salt.. go over the questions(I learned a few things here and there) and then move on. As others have mentioned.. the ONLY realistic predictor is AAMC practice tests 🙂

Any of the major prep companies exams are good in terms of having an idea where you stand because each exam is scaled against all the toehr people who took that exam, so even if the company doesn't have the best exam, you still have an idea in regard to there you stand when compared to every other person who took the same exam.

The AAMC exams are the only true ones, but the major prep company exams do give one a ballpark idea.

I'm thinking about buying TBR because their practice passages are good. Would you still recommend something like Kaplan over TBR tests?
