I'm in the process of trying to order some MCAT practice test so I was wondering what test would be the better bargin. Even though the AMSA test are usually the practice test that most closesly resemble the MCAT it cost 35$ to order one practice test. However Gold Standard has a package where you can get 10 practice test for $100 dollars. Which practice test should I get? And is there any other practice test that you might suggest? And yes money is an issue for me

AAMC are the most accurate ones, but they are easier than the real one.

GS test (1~6) questions are as difficult as the real one. However, their later tests (7~9) are dimensionally more difficult in physical science than in the real thing which could either discourage you or train you to build a tougher nerve. I don't know about GS 10, but I heard that it's an ego-boosting exam for people feeling squeamish after getting destroyed by GS 7~9.

All GS tests have a tough curve, so you may score several points less than your AAMCs.

For normal GS tests (1~6), my goal was to make double digits on their sciences by getting 10, and my highest one ever was only 12. I was glad that I broke 30 on one of their normal ones. Meanwhile, I scored many 13s and one time 15 on AAMC PS sections.

GS 7~9 physical sciences were just plain horrendous so I scored only 8~9.

For all GS tests, their verbal was just bad.

The above post makes me feel better. I took GS Test 8 today and got a 26 >:[[, but got a 30 on GS Test 7. All in all GS really does seem to be a big ball buster. I'm hoping to get at least a 31 on the real thing- which is in a week for me. Possible??
