I'm taking the MCAT on July 29th, and just took my first CBT (GS) and received a 28 (9-10-9). I've read on previous threads that the GS cbt's are harder than amcas cbt's, so does that mean I'm in the 30+ range. I'm saving the AMCAS CBT's till the end, so I don't want to take them just yet.

You have to actually break it down. GS verbal has been notoriously bad and their revised one are not that much better. I've taken GS 1-6 and your score mainly depends on how many difficult/intense questions they put on there. For example, if you have 5-10 difficult/intense questions, you may score a 10, but if you get 20-25 of these, then your score may be a 7 or 8, even if you're still at the same level. You should look at your "diagnosis" and find out which is the case and compare this to the number of moderate and difficult questions on AAMC.

For the record... I normally wouldn't say anything...

but it is NOT AMCAS... it is AAMC

AMCAS = American Medical College Application Service

AAMC = American Association of Medical Colleges

AAMC publishes the tests... AMCAS has nothing to do with the test.
