hey people....😳
yes i studies fr 4 months....actually i was working as well....40hrs a week on campus.....
but fr the last 15 days i did nothing but sat with my books and papers....
do decks really well....i don't know why people say that decks r nt very useful....i found it very useful. try to refer bac on textbooks if possible...or the internet...our library has all dental books so i went bac to those....
n lastly but by no means the least "papers" - very imp!!! i had question papers from 78 - 90 and let me tell u each one is important....do them atleast twice and decks atleast 3-4 times.....i happened to hv mosby from a friend....more than the book there is a CD in it and it is very helpful...i had 5-6 questions directly from it....it has a 400 questions paper in it....not very hard but it simulates the exam environment....
try to sit n do papers towards the end.....
i gt 385/500 and 64 on the second day....its not the best but if ur already in a dental school u'll definitely gt more on the second day....

i would say mosby is not very important....go ahead with decks and papers they are very important....the papers more so....repeat them atleast twice!

im not sure rose....i mean people say they ask a lot about implants but may be i was lucky i hardly had ny questions on implant....yes i would say refering bac to the books u had read once upon a time is very refreshing....but i gt them in the last month...so if u don't hv them....don't worry...keep refering bac to the internet fr help.....

Can you give some idea about the part 2 test? Is it the same like part 1 or what type?
And what they ask on the 2nd day of the test?

and if we read dental decks, kaplan review bokk, mosby and papers from 78 to 93 then are sufficient?

Because I dont have any text book to refer,, so if anything is required to be reffered befor appearing in the exam then plz let me know............

hi guys...just finished my part 2 today...keeping my fingers crossed...exam was ok....in the sense lot of new ?s....few repeats frm 2j,k,l. few implant ?'s and more /'s on pharmac and operative......same for case based......hope i pass this one....really need to .....if u have mosby's cd ? bank ...go thru it once.....

well after 3 weeks of intense waiting i finally got my results back last fri. i passed.

as many others have said before, i think the NBDE2 is a much better exp than part 1. day 1 was pretty good and i felt i was well prepared. day 2 on the other hand absolutely sucked. the x rays provided were bad and the q's were waaaaay rediculous. i finished day 2 thinking i had bombed it but ended up with 60%.

if you ask me on how to prepare i'd say do the decks at least twice and go over mosby's review once. i felt that there were about 15 % repeat from old exams and many q's came straight from the deck.

For those going through the decks, there is still quite a bit of emphasis on anatomy. Did anyone that take it happen to see that on the actual test?
