Took the DATs today and well...the scores pretty much says it all 🙁

PAT: 19
QR: 19
RC: 18
Biology: 17
GC: 19
OC: 19
TS: 18
AA: 18

BCP: 3.12
Science: 3.37
Overall:3.49

I was really surprised with the QR and RC sections. I was doing awesome on DAT Achiever. I scored around 21-23 on the three QR practice tests and 21-25 on the three RC practice tests.

I applied to my state school, NYU, BU, NOVA, Case Western, UMDNJ. I'm thinking about adding ASDOH too...I was reading some posts about people with low DAT scores getting interviews.

I plan on retaking at the end of September but I guess that might be kind of late. Oh yea, my AADSAS hasn't been mailed out yet so I listed my scores and that I plan on retaking it in Sept. Will the new DAT info be mailed out even though I changed it after submitting it? Thanks.

ur an overall avarage ....
i would apply take my chances retake the dats and send out the new scores later...
as for now i think ur best off getting ur application done asap...

Yea I submitted back in May but I didn't get my GPA verified until yesterday so hopefully I'll be going out in the next batch.

If your GPA is over 3.5 I would say you have a good shot...but for now I think you need to retake your DAT. Good luck.

i'd retake just in case, i'm sure there are people with similiar stats that get into school but if you think you can do better on the DAT then retake

Thanks for the input/comments. It's so hard to talk to my parents and friends since they have no idea what those numbers mean and what the application process is like.

roll with those scores...many people would kill for them. See how it pans out, retake if you want in September and send in those new scores.

It is a tough decision that only you can decide😕

See how the interview invites pan out before you retake the DAT. Most schools will tell you outright if you need to take them again.

Your scores aren't bad at all....yeah, bio's a bit low. But for the most part you're about dead-on average and your GPA is good. I'd call the schools and see if they would advise you to retake.

I would retake it. It shows commitment and dedication, especially if score better. Even if it isn't much, you'll still look good. And then apply to alot of schools
