I just received my part 2 score today, its a disaster- 77( total 355 questions correct, 70 correct on day 2). now i am really confused what should i do? should i retake it or not? my Part 1 score is 90, GPA is 3.82, Toefl score is 101. i have 6 months work experience in home country.Guys, plz suggest me what i should do? and where all i should apply? i was planning to do some observership, but now if i need to give part 2 again, how will i manage both? Plz reply

Applying with Part2 score will certainly boost ur application. Apply everywhere even if u r not meeting their minimum requirements. In the past ppl with stats lower than minimum requirements have made it in. US experience is a big plus. So try hard for that.

By the way did u score 355/400 on day 1 or 355/500 for day 1 and 2 combined?

thank you for your advice, its 355 combined out of which 70 correct on day 2 this is what i concluded because if 355 on day one only then after addindg 70 to 355 will give 425 out of 500 which is not at all equivalent to score 77

Get the observership experience and apply.
You can always redo part 2 at a later, much later date.

thanks La Fea, when should i retake part 2? i was planning to retake in late september or early october that is after 3 months of window period, what do you think, is this ok? i am not sure like, i will be able to handle both observership and reading for part 2 at the same time or not. i also need to practice for bench exam during this time....what should i do?

Hi folks:
I hate to sound dumb/ignorant... but what exactly is an observership(I hope I did misspelled it)..???? Is it volunteer work? Where do you do this observing and what do you do ??😕😕. Can someone kindly elaborate on this please??

😳ooops!!!
I meant to say I did not want to misspell the work observership in my previous post

It means you stay at a dental clinic only watching the procedures. You cannot work as an assistant unless you get an X-Ray license.
