Lately, I've been piqued by the "10,000 Qs method". So I was thinking of ways to hit the mark:

2500 GT Q-bank + 3000 UWorld + 500 Robbins Review + 500 Consult (free fr Goljan book purchase) + ?

(These #s may be off... I'm pulling them off the top of my head.)

I don't have Kaplan or Rx. At this point, I'll be lucky to make it through just the sources listed above. (Also, I intend on doing 6 practice tests)... All of which makes me wonder--

-- Do you count the NBME's as part of the "10,000 Qs"?

-- How do GT daily Qs (not the Q-bank, but the review Qs themselves) play into it?

I know it's NOT about the exact # of Qs one does... so this isn't a thread about that.

Rather, I'm wondering whether the time I'm spending on GT daily (~ 2 hrs/day on the "assigned" review Qs) would be better spent doing "new" Qs off of a Q-bank.

I've been faithfully doing my GT Qs for a while now, and I can feel its impact in terms of my long-term knowledge. But, this close to the real deal (July), would it be better to "give up" that aspect and do a bit more "cramming" for the test via more simulated Qs?

If I count the daily GT Qs, I will have done waaay more than 10,000 already... but I don't think it works that way. Ha.

You don't HAVE to do that many questions to do well, but if you're the kind of person who does really well by doing questions, it's worth a shot.

I've completed all of UW, Kaplan Qbank, and about half of Rx (before I got annoyed/sick of it), 3 NBME exams, and I still have the two UWSA to do. So that adds up to about 2000 + 2200 + 200 x 3 + 1000 = 5800 questions so far. Add in the UWSA and it'll be even more, soooo yeah.
