Has GT already taken down the pay links in anticipation for the price increase/subscription length change? Anyone else having the same problem, or am I just missing the link? Wow, you scared me! I can still see it. From your free trial, go to account, click on subscribe, and then click your payment method. The next page should have the options for the "subscription plan" in the right column. I can see monthly, 1, 6, and 12 month subscriptions. I'm planning to buy it this week as soon as my new card shows up.

Just found it also. I was trying to purchase from their home screen where I signed up for the free trial. Sorry for the scare.

hopefully they read this thread as vigilantly as bchandler claimed because getting rid of the multi-month pricing is definitely going to be an issue. also +1 to the step1/step2 separation.

Yes, it worked for me. I recently signed up for 12 months for this fall, but I just added 12 more to pre-pay for the full amount of time that I need.

I'm glad they gave us the heads up, and thank goodness for sdn...

Ah, yes. I know the feeling. I signed up for 12 months full price *minutes* before I lurking here and realizing I could have saved myself quite a bit.

Actually, my GT mcat subscription was only $1, so even the discounted price was hard to swallow, but I've seen the program works for me, so I went ahead and made the 2 year commitment.

Hello GTP, this is the first time I use this method, I found interesting your comments so I want to ask something related to GT
if I am trying to answer the causes of RTA, there are many elements, lets say 10 but I forget one or two how do you correctly assess this recall?. Another thing is that I do not know how to take advantage of the power analitical, does it say something to you to modify the rhythm at which you are banking or maybe a faulty learning that needs more dwelling or deeper knowledge with respect to associated concepts? is there any normal tendency in curves among peers?
I have written my questions in other forums nobody has answered yet. Someone else has written that after immediate quizzing (14 days ) the information is erased from the hd, then it is common a 2 as a result but this may mean a waste of time, do you know a way to rearrange this lapse apart from doing manually in the customize review schedule taking into account what you've said results depend on the base of your knowledge before facing the question?.
My inquiries are open to anyone who pleases to answer.
Any help will be well appreciated,

I signed up/paid for the year plan too. But how do you extend? I cant see that option under account

It looks like you can apply it for a shorter time period. If you want to apply it to the auto-renewing monthly plan, it warns you that it will only apply to the first month and the rest of the months will be the going rate.

Sorry you will have to ask someone else about that power analytical. I think it's weird an I don't get the point. Gt veterans like pizzy should answer your question cuz I've only used it for 6.5 weeks.

When I only recall 8/10 causes of something, I give myself a 4 under one condition: if upon seeing the other two things I missed, I can honestly say that I wouldn't have a problem with the diagnosis if those were the only two clues given in a multiple choice stem, or that I wouldn't have a problem selecting those two concepts as right answers in a multiple choice question. There are just some random things you forget when you are listing rote facts. But I will always know that pernicious anemia and MG are type 2 hypersensitivity even if they randomly escape my mind as I'm trying to smash through 300 review questions a day.

Could I sign up for a month free trial and then right after purchase 12 months, giving me 13 months? Or will it end the trial?

I think one important thing is that I never rate 1 - It says 1 is when you have never seen the answer before but you would have had to have seen it to bank the card!. When I go through the daily review questions, I finish them all then click "review questions" for all the 2s that I put and go through them putting a score of 2 again! This really helped me to hunt down those cards that I was having trouble getting by seeing the answer and questions twice. I would often forget the answer in just the time it was taking to finish my daily questions.

I bank in sprees, like I did 25% of biochem a day for 4 days and it is terrible because the questions stack on each other before you begin differentiating the scores. I want to try to bank at a more normal rate and am going to try this in MS2.

I rate 5s lenient I suppose, especially the listing questions like all the type 2 hypersensitivities. If I only miss 2 for example I put a 5 if I see the answer and knew 100% that I could recognize them if I saw them. I only rate 5s leniently on the listing questions because I and nobody else is a robot and can rattle off 15 things off the top of their head super fast unless you are rain man or something.

So yea, skipping a dentist appointment for my 2 year subscription. We gave GT our money *and* we hand out codes like pancakes promoting them. Smooth GT, very smooth. It's like a virus that takes over a cell and uses the host's machinery for their replication...

How long does it normally take to switch from lite to comprehensive mode? I clicked "switch" and it's been "in progress" an hour, but there is a warning to contact them if it gets stuck. That implies that it can and does get stuck, and I'm not sure how long I should wait for it...

Yup, I contacted them and there was an issue, they got back to me within half an hour and it's all fixed up now.

Btw, to the Firecracker/GT team, I definitely think mobile apps/mobile-optimized versions of the site would be extremely useful. The more ways we can comfortably use the GT the more we'll be able to get out of it.

On the other hand, from GT perspective and as devil's advocate, they thought they were giving the discount to only the original group of 25 people. Not sure if they would have agreed to give the deal to all of SDN.

Can you send me the code as well....out of curiosity, so basically I signed up for 15 months of GT starting this past summer for about $250 (that sounds right)...so:

a.) Is Step II GT going to be useful/worth it as much as Step I?
b.) How much will I be paying for a 1 year extension (current rate, the price at which I paid for, new rate?)

I would not do this. I also do not think that I'd continue giving it out. This code was intended for the original 25 people- not cool to give to everyone as it may limit GT's willingness to give discounts to groups in the future.
