Any suggestions?

Would you care to elaborate on what your interests are or what specifically you want feedback on? Or perhaps which department you're considering?

Hah, yes. Sorry, I didn't realize just how vague my post was. I'd posted elsewhere that I've been accepted to both schools for an MPH in Epi. I've accepted to BU but have read posts that have made me weary. Feeling a bit of buyers remorse and wondering if I should have gone with George Washington instead. Do you have any advice to offer? I'd love it!

I was in the same exact position as you. At the end of the day, the reason I went with GW was because of the location. DC offered much more opportunities for internships, connections and future careers than Boston.

I chose GWU for the same reasons as UBUPS. BU seems like an excellent school, but you can't beat GW's location and connections.

Any suggestions?

I think that GWU's location will offer more advantages in the coming years, especially with the increasing global aspect of public health in that there are a lot of opportunities in the D.C. area. I think that BU has really ramped up their enrollment in the past couple (a lot of schools have), and this might mean that the opportunities for research and such are diluted when compared to years past. There is similar name brand recognition for the two schools.

I am applying to both GWU and BU for MCH... any advice/ recommendation?

Before giving you any kind of advice/insight, I wonder what it is you're looking to get out of the program. What are of MCH are you interested in. I can only speak for GW. It doesn't have a ton of electives, which I think is a bit of a negative. On the other hand, it's flexible, and my adviser told me that I can petition for MCH classes from other programs to be electives. I like that the profs are approachable even when they're super busy. You can't beat the DC location for internships - lots of opportunities. I ultimately chose GW for the location (I like DC and was already living here).

On the other hand, when I looked at BU's program, it looked like they had lots of options in the MCH program. I'm most interested in reproductive health, and I thought their class options looked really interesting.
