Good luck today everyone! I have a feeling today is the day.. 😀

Let today be the day!! Somedays I feel so positive and tell myself today is the day...other days, I start to think like I'm playin the lottery and I develop a "1 in 7million, i'm never going to get picked" attitude. Oh well. Best of Luck. I'm not giving up hope until orientation 🙂

The fishing forum i read has an emoticon where the smily man drinks a pint of guinness. I wish we had that on SDN. (they also have a dancing banana)

yeah thats what ive been getting...its wierd since according to last yrs gw waitlist thread, the admissions office was a lot more forthcoming with info on waitlist movement..or perhaps that was info from emailing Dean McQuail directly

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. The office even wrote down their names last year whereas this year, they don't seem to have much information.

I wonder if last year's process was easier to deal with since they could only take a handful of WL'ers since they over-enrolled. If I remember correctly, I think we were told approx. 25 ppl were taken from the list? I'm sure if that means 25 matriculated or 25 total were taken off the list.

but the thing is, it doesnt seem like theyre taking so many people off this yr either...of course its only June 1st and our sample size is only those applicants who use SDN and are willing to post...

Yeah, I have the same concern as you. This quietness is deafening.

Nope, but I'm more concerned every day. I'm starting tp think that they're done moving.

No more negativity! I just wish they'd tell us that the class is full already if that's the case. It sucks not really knowing a thing about what's going on...

Obviously the class is full. That is how the waitlist usually works. They fill the class, and then when people drop because of other acceptances they accept someone off the list.

I'm sure that the class is "full"...right now, but that will hopefully change as people get into other schools and drop their acceptance.

I called the admissions office on Friday and the secretary told me that currently the class is full but the waitlist is still open. They will still be calling people if someone drops. Keep the hope alive!

I don't think we should be freaking out over the class being "full". Of course it's full. Every school tries to keep their class full at this time of year (that's what the waitlist is for). BUT, it's very unlikely to stay completely full the entire rest of the summer. There's still two months before class starts, and a lot of shifting can occur in that time. Keep the faith, there's still lots of time for good things to happen.

Yep, hopefully some acceptances will trickle in as ppl get pulled off the WL at other places.

On another note, Temple (where i'm also on WL) just had some serious SDN waitlist movement, except for me 🙂

I have decided that this thread must remain on page 1 at all times. It worked well for getting the VCU waitlist moving, and I'm sure it can work well for GW too. Therefore, I will make it my personal mission to bump this as often as possible, whether I have anything relevant/new to say or not.

Thanks for asking! I take them a week from Friday. It's pretty rough. Not the worst thing I've ever been through but it defniitely sucks. I can't remember the last time I washed my hair. I just want to pass!
