Back in 2010, I was a CNA for over 2 years, left in 2012 to go back to college, full-time night shift. I think I calculated the total amount of hours I worked and it was a good bit over 4000 hours. Would this still be applicable since I am planning on applying in 2016? I still plan to have other clinical experience and extra curricular activities while I am still going through school, just wondered if it would be applicable given that a few years have gone by.

I would include it in my AMCAS if I were you. But you should continue obtaining experience, which you say you will be doing. In my opinion that experience will continue losing weight as time passes so applying sooner rather than later would be better to maximize it.

I honestly think that's better than the typical volunteer "clinical" experience, i mean its actual hands on patient care...

Particularly if part of your time as a CNA was after HS graduation, it's completely legit as an inclusion on your med school application. If not, you can still mention it in your Primary Statement as part of your journey to medicine.
