for secondaries that are not online, do you think it's ok to write the info in neatly with black pen rather than using a typewriter? i plan do essays on the computer and paste them, but do you think it's ok to handwrite things like name and address?

I didn't discover the on-campus typewriter until I finished most of my secondaries, but I really regret handwriting stuff now. I think if the ONLY thing you have to fill out is your name and address, then it's ok, but otherwise it looks unprofessional. Just invest in a typewriter....they're not that expensive and I think it's worth it to make your secondaries look nice. Many schools have them available for people still in undergrad.

p.s. when i pasted essays from the computer, I photocopied them so you wouldn't see the pasting-line

most secondaries (those with separate pages) you can just shove in your printer; just practice printing it out on plain paper first (so that spacing/formatting matches exactly)
with stupid secondaries that you can't do that (like multiple bound pages), i just wrote by hand...i never even considered getting a typewriter - this isn't the dark ages <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

If you have a scanner, use it!
Scan the secondary in, make it a jpeg. Insert text on top of it. Works great....usually.

my handwriting is bad so i will just scan it and do my thing in photoshop or in whatever i can find.

I'm surprised that any of them would still only have [undownloadable] paper apps. Do you guys know which schools only have paper apps that they send you? Please don't include schools that have on-line apps that you can type on-line, print and send in via snail mail. Thanks.
