just fyi, we got an e-mail from hms financial aid today to let us know that instead of raising the unit loan this year as they have done in previous years, it is now lower (24,500 instead of 25k)...

i'll go by admissions tomorrow and see if i can't get them to slip a few of those acceptances in the mail a little early... 😉

You should suggest to them that they send out the West Coast and mid-West letters tomorrow so that we can get them closer to when the East Coast gets their letters....Please...Pretty please with sugar on top???? 🙂

I just checked my status page and even though I interviewed in December it states that my letters of recommendation have not been recieved. Hopefully this is not the case. (I am "Complete" though)

Did it ever say your letters were received...mine didn't for a really long time after they had in fact received my letters. they didn't bother changing it until I asked about it even though I was "complete"

Haha... with an N=3....

Let's speculate, because I have nothing better to do. Last year switching from "complete" to "incomplete" (again, remember it was not a 100% correlation) made sense logically. They could have added another item to your electronic file, because you had to send something else in (a deposit, a notification that you wanted to remain on the waitlist). Those who did not have to send anything additional, those who were rejected, saw no change.

Why would letters disappear?

Yes, now you're entitled to know. 🙂 However, I don't have the answer. I was actually just about to post a thread asking about a Harvard 2nd Look Weekend because I haven't heard it mentioned anywhere.

That's not the first weekend. It'll be the 5-7th, although I'm not sure what days it spans. I remember them saying 2 days on the phone, but not sure.

hey everyone- speaking as someone who lived through the status page and financial aid page debacle, the status page incomplete vs. complete thing was nothing, not significant. I wouldn't waste any energy trying to analyze that this year. The financial aid leak was indeed a leak and revealed who was accepted but I doubt they'll let something like that happen again.

do you think the admissions office would be willing to give us their decisions over the phone? i wouldn't dare call, because if i were them i'd be pissed off...but a girl can dream, can't she? 🙂

I opened it, and it said that I had been invited back for a second interview. 😱
I am trying to be happy today, and for the rest of the week...because I share the sentiments of a lot of people on this board.
