harvard acceptances?

Ok, I literally just got an email from the Admissions office about being accepted for NP. In it, it says:
Harvard does not usually email decisions, but we have scheduled Revisit earlier than usual this year, and I wanted you to have time to plan your travel. The formal activities of Revisit are scheduled to begin at 4pm on Thursday April 10th and run through late Friday evening, with some informal activities planned for Saturday morning, April 12th. You will receive another email about registering for Revisit next week.

Yeah I would be extremely suspicious about this until people post that they've received such an email. Also, given how delirious someone must be when receiving a call from HMS, I'm a bit doubtful about this rumor.

Yeah... unfortunately I know someone who got in with a name at the end of the alphabet...

Funny how it's the people who never post in this thread that get in, and those of us always here haven't had any good news...

This sucks. I really don't want to do work. Damn you Harvard, you RUINED MY EASTER.
 
le sign, I'm pretty down about this. I was really holding onto the minute aliquot of hope that I would get in despite being straight up rejected at cornell and columbia.
 
best of luck RPedigo, but remember you have at least 1 acceptance, so just make sure you don't bomb the final and you are golden!
 
Admissions email received at 12 noon. I also got the URM one this morning.

No HST for me. New Pathway it is!

Looks like we'll be battling it out in tutorial, haha!

I assume they have some sort of automated mechanisms which sends out the mass e-mails. I mean NYU did it a few weeks ago, I think its reasonable that HMS would have said capabilities too.

Did your email mention not getting into HST? Or just you haven't heard anything from the HST side?
 
I was feeling super awesome at the beginning of the cycle with the multiple accepts, but the latter part of this application process has left me disgruntled and demoralized haha. Numerous acceptances followed 5 straight up rejections and some waitlists. Before you all jump me, I realize I'm still lucky to have a place to go next year, but I still opt to exercise my right to complain 🙂
 
I'm also steadfastly holding onto the hope that my e-mail server is just being super slow. I got an NYU acceptance that was time stamped an hour before it actually arrived in my inbox!

I wish I could have your optimism...I've had emails come 2-3 days late in the past month (no joke), but it hasn't happened this week.

Any WAITLIST emails? They'll probably just do that snail mail, right? Or are waitlisters invited to 2nd look?

Both my NP and HST decisions were mentioned in the email from admissions.

Also, if anyone is interested, I started an HMS c/o 2012 thread in the class threads forum.

And I think someone asked about my name. Last name C. I don't know if there is any rhyme or reason to how email stuff gets out, but don't lose hope, people.

maybe by interview date? maybe by subcommittee of origin? probably not though...

has anyone tried calling admissions to see if they sent them all at once?
 
I received an e-mail a little after 12:15 pm saying I got into both HST and NP. Good :luck: everyone!

In lieu of a LOI for Columbia, I've decided to show up at the admissions office with a burlesque routine to present to Dean Frantz... to show that I'm talented and interesting.

No, I did not. Could that be because I'm a mudphud applicant? Or maybe they sent out the NP-only acceptances first, followed by NP+HST, which is what I think may have happened. Anyway, I hope you hear good news as well!
 
If all the acceptances went out, I would imagine this place would be exploding...but its not?
 
Well, crap.

Have people received all of the combinations? HST, NP, and HST+NP?
