not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Harvard and Stanford are NOT pre-screening for the secondaries this year. got it from the websites. i was under the impression they did screen, but apparently not.

There seems to be conflicting info on the Stanford website. I read what you posted and the following too:

Supplementary Application
ALL applicants will be invited to submit a Stanford Supplementary Application once we receive your AMCAS application. Invitations will be sent via e-mail and regular mail, and will be accompanied by directions for completing the Supplementary Application. We STRONGLY suggest that you complete the Supplementary Application as soon as possible. All materials, including your letters of recommendation, must be postmarked by the final deadline date of Wednesday, December 1, 2004 (11:59 p.m. PST).

Maybe what scandal posted is from last year, because they haven't updated that portion yet; and then this year, they are not screening.
I seem to remember that they do screen, from friends last year, but don't quote me on it

I can't find the Harvard supplemental application. Does anyone know how to access it? 😕

The Harvard app is not up yet.

The admissions folks told me that they will mail (I don't know if they meant email or snail mail) you with instructions on how to access it on or about August 1. Hope this helps,

Jason

Thanks, only Aug. 1 is Sunday 🙂 Probably the 2nd.
But I have heard Harvard is a simple secondary, no essays, just $$$.

Well, this is what I got from Stanford's website:

The Office of Admissions carefully evaluates each AMCAS application. All applicants will then be sent further information and the forms necessary for completion of the Stanford University School of Medicine's Supplementary Application.

Evaluation and selection are based upon standards of merit, and no quotas of any kind play a role in the admission process. No preference is given to California residents. (See Statement of Non-Discriminatory Policy.)

Harvard didn't actually have a pre-secondary screening process last year either, but Stanford did.
