Oh well. This has been a good week for me overall with cornell and all...but I was hoping to have the opportunity to stay in boston. But I'm very very thrilled about cornell.

Lorienne7...aren't you also in the Cornell allo thread and said that you're likely going? Looks like we might be classmates @ 69th and york ave. 🙂
 
In the interest of maintaining hope... I would imagine that this is a good indicator that you have gotten in if you get this message, but it is possible they haven't updated everyone into the financial aid system yet.

Login failed, but I am an international applicant and tried to use my Canadian social insurance # instead, so who knows (hope is a wonderful thing, ain't it?)

Yup, well I'm still torn between Cornell and Columbia right now, but I'm hoping the second looks will help me make up my mind! Regardless, we've got nothing to complain about 🙂

Nope, we're doing pretty well. You and the other folks will have to be my eyes and ears at Cornell 2nd look...don't think I'll be able to make it, so take notes😛

I just tried to log on for the millionth time and my pin was actually emailed to me when I typed in my SSN (I almost had a heart attack when I didn't get the usual Login Failed response). Anyone else have any luck? Does being able to log in actually mena anything?

got the "information not available" - my last name is in the first 1/3 of the alphabet...
 
has anybody seen their status change today? as in, gone from 'login failed' this morning to 'information not available' now? or was it info not av. from the first moment you checked it today?

Eh... seems unlikely that they would update the website until they had everyone entered? I guess I'll keep a sliver of hope until there is more definitive evidence (ahem, like my rejection letter), but I'm feeling pretty grim. My last name is pretty early in the alphabet and a "login failed" for me (applied NP).

I would like to think that people aren't being malicious and just voting the other option on the poll to give us heart attacks. 🙁

i applied HST... maybe they are doing that first. i heard that HST has their stuff together long before NP.
 
one of the accepted MSTPers said they weren't interviewed HST though, so it's still looking grim for the NPs with failed logins...

She must have clicked on the "Receive PIN by e-mail" link? I don't think it means anything.
 
You can either log in using your AMCAS ID as your pin or there's an option that says if you forgot your pin, you can put in your SSN and they'll email the pin to you.
 
Wait, so I get "Your login failed. We could not validate either your Student ID or your PIN." when I put in both, and " Login ID not found. Please contact the financial aid officer" when I request my pin.
Is this the end?

That's what I'm getting too. It looks like that's what ~75% of us are getting, so it's not looking too promising.

Ok. this thread has made me thoroughly depressed for the day... I think it is time to log off SDN and indulge in some chocolate... Yum, I feel better already👍

Well, since some people have tried to login and it says contact fin aid office then I think those people should. 🙂

Yes, maybe....I mean, if they're not even going out until Friday, that means that people shouldn't "need" to access the page for another 4 days.

I know what you mean. Good luck to my getting anything productive done today. All I can think about is how much this bites.

My fault for checking, I guess. I could have just found out the civilized way. 😉

you have no idea...after repeatedly getting login failed, i INHALED about 1000 calories worth of bagels...but the numbing effect is only temporary. when the last bite is gone, i'm once again bummed (not shocked, but still bummed)...

haha, ya right, like you'd ever be able to resist checking. The hope of being able to login successfully is too much of an incentive to pass up.

True. Here's to hoping for a waitlist letter.

I'm waiting on login-ability status info from some of the other high profile Harvard awaiters who have posted on this thread.
