I was reading the contract that is online for MGH/BWH residents (BID also?) and it expressly forbids moonlighting. Is this the status quo up there, or is it just something they put into the contract language? I only ask this becaue the FRIEDA info on these hospitals says that even in-house moonlighting is available.

On my BWH interview I was specifically told that they can moonlight by taking extra weekend home call and get paid something like $100/hr when they get called in. I'd assume the contract refers to moonlighting at an outside institution.

at mGh you can do pre-ops for 60/hour... if you have your MA license
