For those lucky SDNers with interviews at any of these 3 schools, do you mind posting your turnaround time for the invite after you were notified of your file being complete?

Thanks a bunch, and good luck! 🙂

For me, it took UPenn about 9 weeks to offer me an interview after they received my completed app.

Looks like you have an impressive array of interviews lined up already. Harvard, UPenn, and Stanford would be lucky to have you!!!!!! Good luck!

Oops! I didn't mean to make it sound like I got interviews at any of these 3 schools. 🙄 They're the only schools I haven't heard a PEEP out of since I submitted their secondaries 😡 , so I was just inquiring to get an idea when I could hear from them.

Thanks though, and congratulations and good luck on your Penn interview! It's an awesome school from what I hear

Thanks Bujji!

I understood that you haven't heard from Hah-vahd, UPenn and Stanford, but I meant that since you've been invited by Baylor, Columbia, Cornell, and Mayo, now that's REALLY impressive! Mayo kicked my butt after they ran away with my $60!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Nows i gets what you mean! 😛 (slapping forehead and letting out a big DUH). Thanks ! 😀

And don't worry about Mayo - they don't have anything on Penn....

For U Penn my turnaround time took a while, just because I got my application in much earlier than they started inviting people. My application was done in mid-August and I got my invite a few days ago, so roughly 2 months.

Harvard was fast - about 2 weeks from the date my app was complete (though my LORs were probably stewing in their office for 3 weeks).

when you got your Penn invite did your status (on the website) change?

Thanks!

Yeah, but when it does, they will email you. So you really don't have to check the page. They will send you an email to tell you to go to the page, where you can schedule your interview.

Stanford took about 4 weeks to reject me after my app was complete...

UPenn offered me an interview about 5 weeks after my app was complete...

Apparently Haa-vad just started processing people's apps, though some ultra-qualified applicants have already received interviews, according to another thread...my app's been complete since august, and not a word from them other than that email that everyone got notifying us that our apps are complete

upenn invited me a few days ago, but I delayed it til dec 'cause I hope to interview at temple, upitts a same time too...hopefully they won't this as a sign that I don't want their school

Penn took about 8-9 weeks post-supplemental application.
Harvard took about 6 weeks.
Stanford wasn't lucky enough to get my application fee.
Ha.

regarding your amiguous post on the interview thread. You made some reference to my 3 year old screen name that didn't exist anymore "Hammerstrength" and "Hammer Skins". I am still wondering what you were refering to.

Best regards.

Classof07.

I just saw your reply thanks for clearing that up for me. I was just a little confused.

Best wishes,
B

Good luck to everyone interviewing at Penn.

The first set of interviews start tomorrow.

my app at all three schools was complete around the end of august.

got the invite from stanford yesterday, and i haven't heard from the other two (which may be a bad sign, but oh well).

for those who have gotten the stanford invite, when i scheduled the interview, they said:

Thank you for completing the registration form for the Stanford University
School of Medicine Interview Scheduler. Your interview date has been
reserved. You must confirm your scheduled interview no sooner than one day
in advance of your interview date by calling Cassandra Sooter at
(650) 723-6863.

does this mean i don't confirm the interview until the day before? that seems very odd. or am i misreading this?

interesting..
my file was complete like early or mid august and i still haven't heard from them.
did you hear by email??
and what's the earliest date they have available?
i will be going to Cali nov. 1-6 around..
do you think i might be able to get a date around then if i hear from them w/in a week?
sigh..

and about that... einstein had the same policy.
you are reserved, but you have to confirm the day before..
at least that's what i think it is saying...
but i forgot to confirm w/ einstein and they had no prob w/ it..
and casandra is really nice.. i've talked to her a few times..
but i would remember to confirm the appointment.

good luck!!!!

yeah, i got an e-mail, which also said that a hard copy was being sent.

they had a number of open slots, including several between the 1st-6th of november.

and i don't think this makes a difference, because i imagine they wait until the file is complete to start reviewing it, but the secondary was in around 8/7, with the LORs arriving end of august.

I got a Stanford interview invite about 6 weeks after I submitted my secondary.
